How to fix your sleep schedule in a week

A week is actually enough time. Not to perfect your sleep — that takes longer — but to meaningfully reset the circadian rhythm and establish the conditions for consistent, restorative nights. The biology moves faster than most people expect, once you stop fighting it and start working with it.

Wake time is the anchor, not bedtime.

This is counterintuitive for most people who try to fix their sleep schedule by going to bed earlier. The circadian clock advances primarily through consistent wake time, not consistent sleep time. You cannot will yourself to feel sleepy at 10pm if your clock hasn't shifted.
